Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

As patients age, the eyelids have excess skin and herniated fat that can have deleterious effects on facial appearance and visual acuity. Patients may be dissatisfied with the appearance of their eyelids and wish to correct imperfections. A Blepharoplasty is performed by removing fat, usually along with excess skin, from the upper and lower eyelids. Incisions are made around the natural lines of the eyelids. Fat, muscle, and/or skin is repositioned and/or removed to improve the appearance of the eyes or the inner eyelid lining. Tape, stitches, or bandages may be applied.

We provide a variety of highly individualized cosmetic procedures. Best results are achieved by a thorough consultation with your surgeon. A surgeon from Riverside Oral & Facial Surgery will be able to recommend the best cosmetic surgical approach for your needs.
